Pilton
Introduction
These streets were built in an area previously occupied by East Pilton Farm, which can still be seen on the 1933 street map. The relatively recent streets use the full name of East Pilton Farm, whereas the streets formed in the 1930s use just the Pilton name.
The layout of the streets in the initial part of the development was by the City Architect (see the links at the foot of this page) with at least some of the properties being built by McTaggart & Mickel.

These streets were built much more recently than the others, and are on the site of the former Bruce Peebles works, which can be seen on the 1933 street map marked as East Pilton Engineering Works.
Pilton Avenue
This street was named on 27 April 1933.
Pilton Crescent
This street was named on 27 April 1933.
Pilton Drive
This street was named on 27 April 1933. The works of Bruce Peebles were located on Pilton Drive from 1904 to 1999.
Pilton Drive North
This street was presumably also named in 1933, and appears on the 1940 street map.
Pilton Gardens
This street was named on 27 April 1933.
Pilton Loan
This street was named on 26 April 1933.
Pilton Park
This street was named on 27 April 1933.
Pilton Place
This street was named on 27 April 1933.
