This school replaced the former Craigmuir and Inchview Primary schools. It was built on the site of the former St David’s Primary School, which had relocated to West Pilton Crescent, sharing a site with Pirniehall Primary School.

The school was built under the Private Public Partnership scheme, and is a modern single storey building with provision for nursery and primary classes, and with outdoor play and sports areas.

Granton History Group was delighted to be asked to visit the school in May and June 2008 to present talks and an exhibition.
